About MRS. Bowers
I am elated to be at Cactus Ranch for the 2017-2018 school year. I LOVE working with students to reach their highest potential, and I'm looking forward to another rewarding year full of academic achievement. It is the combination of the WONDERFUL students, the dedicated faculty, the support from the administration, and the awesome parents at CRE-that makes teaching at this institution a dream come true!
I was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas (GO ROCK GO)! I graduated college from Texas State University with a nutrition degree after playing volleyball at Lamar University and Armstrong Atlantic State University. After graduation, I felt called to teach school and completed my Alternative Certification. I am grateful for this life path because I am now in the profession I love and in the class I met my husband.
I took my first teaching job at Connally High School in Waco. At Connally, I was the Head Volleyball Coach and I taught 9th grade Health. We then moved to Kingwood where I taught 8th grade U.S. History and coached for six years.
My husband is a baseball scout for the LA Dodgers and travels searching for talent. In 2016, we were blessed with twins (boy and girl) and decided it was time to settle back in Round Rock. We know this is a great place to raise our children and we feel most at home here.
I am passionate about helping my students become better young people, while educating them to the best of my ability. I respect all of my students and will work hard to aid them in solving problems and in reaching their goals. This is going to be the BEST year yet -- it is ALWAYS A GREAT DAY TO BE A LONGHORN!
